QRS June Members Launch
Monday, June 20, 2011 at 9:15PM The fine weather has finally returned to Queensland and what a beautiful day it was for launching rockets! It was great to be out at the launch site again and seeing some great flights. It was a members only launch, although numbers were down no doubt as a result of the recent Williams "Wildfire" Winternationals launch held in Western Australia many rockets are still in freight making their way back home.
Despite the lower than normal number of launches, some great flights still took place. Check out the photos below for just some of the flights from the day. Click on the photos for the higher resolution versions or click the photo link on the upper bar for the full gallery.

One of the more memorable flights was a sputtering motor that took a long time to finally get off the ground. You can see this rather unusual launch as well as many others from the day in the video below.
Next month is a public launch, so make sure you come on down!
See you there.
